OUGD501 FINAL OUTCOME

Here is my final outcome for this brief. I have combined both digital and printing methods onto a multi format piece of design, celebrating these two principles within one. During the final stages of my development, I deeply considered some key things to improve the final outcome itself. For instance, I have chosen a thick 120gsm paper stock which is slightly coated to give the print as much detail as possible when it has been produced. Having simple things like this altered gives the physical print more aesthetic value and makes it really feel like its worth something. This consideration will convince the audience to hold onto the flyer for some time.

By using the app Artivive, the audience will see the detailed flyer come to life with an engaging animation advertising the event to its full potential. A strong use of typography has been animated to emphasise certain parts of the flyer, guiding the audience through it. Finally, a short sample of the artists music has been included also so that when the flyer is animating, the audience gets a short sample of what the event has to offer playing through their phones. This way, an equal amount of consideration has been taken into both digital and print aspects of the design.

Downloading the free Artivive app is the best way to experience the flyer at its full potential. This also includes sound which I am unable to demonstrate on the blog.
